QC Guide for Beginners

2026-04-2210 min readKakobuy Spreadsheet Team

Quality Control (QC) is the gatekeeper between a great Kakobuy spreadsheet purchase and an expensive mistake. For beginners, those first QC photos can feel overwhelming — what matters? What is a dealbreaker? This guide breaks down every detail you need to inspect, organized by product category, with clear approve/reject guidance.

Why QC Is Non-Negotiable

Without QC, you are buying blind. The Kakobuy spreadsheet shows you prices and ratings, but the QC photos show you the actual item that arrived at the warehouse. A 5-star seller can send a flawed batch. QC is your only chance to catch issues before international shipping — and shipping a rejected item back costs nothing; shipping a bad item to your home costs everything.

Universal QC Checklist (All Items)

Correct Item

CRITICAL

Does it match what you ordered? Colorway, size, and model name must be exact.

Size Tag

CRITICAL

Tag must show ordered size. Numeric and alpha sizes both need verification.

No Major Damage

CRITICAL

Holes, tears, deep stains, or broken hardware are automatic rejects.

Clean Finish

Conditional

Glue stains, loose threads, and scuffs are conditional — judge severity.

Accurate Color

Conditional

Compare to reference photos. Lighting affects this, so check multiple angles.

Packaging

Conditional

Box condition for shoes, dust bags for accessories. Nice-to-have, not critical.

The Approve vs. Exchange Decision

Approve When

  • • All critical checks pass
  • • Minor flaws are within acceptable range
  • • Item matches reference photos at 90%+ accuracy
  • • QC rating from community is 4.0+ for this batch

Exchange When

  • • Wrong item, size, or colorway
  • • Visible damage (stains, tears, broken parts)
  • • Major logo/placement errors
  • • Significant quality drop from batch standard
  • • Item looks completely different from reference

How to Request an Exchange

  1. 1Click "Request Exchange" on the QC photo page in your warehouse.
  2. 2Upload a clear reference photo showing what is wrong (circle the flaw).
  3. 3Write a concise note: "Wrong size. Ordered US 10, received US 9. Please exchange."
  4. 4Wait for agent confirmation (typically 24-48 hours). Do not ship until resolved.
